Cosmonauts and UFOs...

Dr. Georgy Mikhailovich Grechko, Hero of the Soviet Union, a former Soviet cosmonaut, flight engineer, and scientist is eighty four years old; he was born on 25 May 1931 in Leningrad.
Dr. Grechko graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Mechanics in 1955 with honors. A young engineer, he was an assistant to the Soviet Union's chief space rocket designer Sergey Korolyov, a visionary scientist. Grechko calculated the trajectory for the first Soviet Sputnik (satellite's) launch.  In the mid 1960s, he was among 13 men selected from the Korolyov Design Bureau for the first Cosmonaut Detachment. He worked on the Soviet Lunar probes; and flew three space flights: Soyuz 17, Soyuz 26, and Soyuz T-14. Cosmonauts Grechko and Romanenko set a space endurance record aboard Salyut-6 station (96 days), which they had boarded on December 11, 1977. Dr. Grechko resigned from the space program in 1992 to lecture in atmospheric physics at Russian Academy of Sciences.
In a recent interview, Dr. Grechko stated that our planet would be visited by extraterrestrials, between December 21st and 23rd, in the year 2012. He has no doubts about it. The retired Soviet cosmonaut is certain that humanoid civilizations exist elsewhere, and believes in the existence of higher intelligence that guides us.
In our article about late Pavel Popovich, another famous Soviet cosmonaut, Philip Mantle and I mentioned a very interesting interview. Well, in that interview, given to a popular Ukrainian newspaper, Pavel Popovich revealed his knowledge about underwater extraterrestrial bases; ancient astronauts; and a number of other fascinating subjects.

In another article we wrote, about famous Soviet cosmonaut Leonov, we mentioned his belief that ancient astronauts had visited our planet.

Former Soviet cosmonauts are highly intelligent people; scientists, engineers, brave explorers. Where do they get their knowledge of extraterrestrials? What sources of information about ancient ET astronauts are accessible to them?

Paul Stonehill, Soviet-born writer and researcher, author of The Soviet UFO Files (1998), Paranormal Mysteries of Eurasia (2011); and co-author of several books with Philip Mantle  (United Kingdom).
