UFODOS of Ukraine

UFODOS is Ukrainian UFO research organization.

Its website contains articles, photos, and other pertinent materials. Some of the articles are from the relatively recent past. Such is the article:  Zadokumentirovanniye Chudesa (Documented miracles) written by Sergey Petrov, and published in IG newspaper, in 1999 (Issue 11{74}).

Petrov mentions a number if interesting cases. The OGPU (NKVD, MGB…or just KGB) had investigated paranormal phenomena in the 1920s and 1930s, and had involved the Soviet Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in the research. Later, from 1985 to 1994, the Kiev Workshop for the Study of Anomalous Phenomena had functioned within the Academy (and collected a great amount of reports). The archives of the Workshop contain numerous reports from people who had simultaneously observed UFO phenomenon.
For instance, the observation from the summer of 1963 over the Kiev Central Stadium: a UFO slowly flew by the soccer game, at a low altitude.
It’s quite possible that I was at that stadium, too, as my father took me to soccer games to see our home team Dynamo Kiev in action; but that year I was 4 years old, and do not recall seeing anything unusual in the sky.I watched the game.

The article contains other interesting cases, and also the mention of the ancient rocket recovered by archaeologist in Kiev (Philip Mantle and I describe the case in our books).

Those who speak Russian and Ukrainian,  and are interested in the documents about Ukraine’s rich UFO history, should visit the site.
